Aromatic products lend a hand to improving people’s quality of life by promoting better health & wellness as ancient remedies. It can be used as medicine and for various household purposes. The consistently growing demand for aromatics products in the market has motivated the establishment of an aromatic cluster in Banki under the SFURTI scheme of MoMSME with the support and guidance of KIIT-TBI as Technical Agency and Fortune as implementing agency. The cluster has organized 900 farmers who are now successfully cultivating aromatic plants and marketing value-added products under the brand name “Life Choice” and “Swarna Priya”.
The Banki aromatic cluster has been participating in 10 days festival at Barabati Shishira Mela, Cuttack held from 19th February 2023 to 28th February 2023. The banki aromatic products cluster includes lemongrass essential oil, agarbatti, phenyl, dish wash, car wash, etc. It is found that there is a high demand for these products in that exhibition. A new and unique product: lemongrass essential oil which has powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antifungal, and astringent abilities is in greater customer demand and becoming increasingly popular among the customer. It has good sales and has received encouraging feedback from the customers.
