Dr. Ishita Ganguli Tripathy, Additional
Development Commissioner (ADC), Ministry of
MSME, Govt. of India visited KIIT – Technology
Business Incubator (KIIT-TBI) on 11 th Aug 2022.
She was accompanied by Mr. P.K. Gupta, Joint
Director, MSME Development Institute, Cuttack
and his team. Dr. Ishita took an exclusive tour of
the incubation facilities at KIIT TBI and visited
the food lab and materials testing lab. She also spent some time interacting with the incubatees
and the start-ups and understood the overall activities and processes carried out in the incubation
ecosystem.
CEO, KIIT-TBI, Dr. Mrutyunjay Suar presented a
broad overview of the strength, success, learnings,
strategies and the journey of last 12 years for which
KIIT-TBI has been able to achieve the status of the
leading technology business incubator in the country.
Advisor, KIIT-TBI, Sh Samarendra Sahu gave a very
insightful synopsis of the achievement in developing
and furthering the cluster development initiative
under the SFURTI scheme, which KIIT-TBI has been promoting as a Technical Agency.
On this occasion, Dr. Ishita also launched the e-
Commerce Platform, developed by KII-TBI for
providing a robust online marketing facility to the
SFURTI clusters. This e-commerce platform is
dedicated to enable the SFURTI players the
much-needed boost they need for marketing their
products in online mode. Dr Ishita, in the end,
addressed the startups and the staff of KIIT-TBI and spoke high about the incubation set up as
well as the able team that is making it happen.
