“MILLET-ARY,” a platform for welcoming the International Year of Millets was launched as the curtain raiser for the Advanced Agriculture Conclave 2023 scheduled to be organized on 2nd February 2023 at Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology, Bhubaneswar. It was organised jointly by Millet Magic Foundation (MMF), a KIIT-TBI promoted Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of the Mohanpur Millet Magic Cluster (A SFURTI unit under ministry of MSME) and World Trade Center on 18th January 2023 at the conference hall of World Trade Center, Bhubaneswar. The Brand Mascot “Mr Millet” of Millet Magic Foundation was unveiled and the booklet on MILLET-ARY was also launched with a successful press meet.
To solemnize the occasion of International Year of Millet and promote millet cultivation ‘MILLET-ARY’ has been launched as the yellow page platform for millet stakeholders where a complete value chain of millet would be built in between 100 FPOs and the stakeholders with adequate guidance and support from different Government bodies, scientists, financial experts, agriculturists, marketers, logistic solution providers, compliance experts etc., for instance; APEDA, OUAT, Odisha Millet Mission, Micro Finance bodies, Department of Agriculture Government of Odisha.
Elegance of the event was enhanced with the presence of distinguished dignitaries like, Shri. Sanjeev K Chadha, IFS, Special Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Government of Odisha as Chief Guest. Mrs. Nitisha Mann, IES, Deputy Director, MSME DFO, Cuttack , Prof. Sangram Swain, Dean Research, OUAT, Dr. Pradipta Mohanty, Convenor, Agriculture Think Tank WTC & Chairman, SNM Group of Companies, Ms Shyama Jha Founder Millet Magic Foundation & Ajay Raj Co-Founder Millet Magic Foundation, Ms Nimishika Natarajan Assistant Director World Trade Center Bhubaneswar, Arun Sahoo, Zonal Head, Sammunati along with representation of Odisha Millet Mission & FPO like Livelihood alternative, Swadeshi and SHG working on millet.
The event was accomplished with anticipation that World Trade Center, Bhubaneswar will promote millets as the facilitation body collaborate with OUAT as the support system of Mission-MILLET-ARY.
