After Odisha, KIIT- TBI has now expanded its horizon in the state of Chattisgarh in LEAN Consulting. On the occasion of 50 years of establishment of District Industries Association (DIA) – Bilaspur, various programs are being organized. As a part of this event, an awareness program on LEAN methodology under MSME Competitive(LEAN) Scheme was organized on18th August at District Industries Association – Bilaspur.
Shri. Anil Saluja – District President of the Association extended a warm welcome to Mr. SS Bajaj – Director General, Regional Science Center, Raipur, Mr. Shyama Prasad – Deputy Director, National Productivity Council (NPC), Bhubaneswar and Mr. Suramya Mishra – Manager, KIIT-TBI. 91 MSME owners from diverse sectors registered industry owners from Bilaspur had participated in this program.
Mr. Bajaj – the chief guest of the program emphasized on adopting lean methodology in the MSME sector. Mr. Shyama presented the various stages of implementation procedures of LEAN scheme and associated advantages for MSME units and other areas of relevance. Mr. Suramya, who was invited as a LEAN expert put light on various Lean tools and their roles in improving the unit’s productivity through waste reduction, quality control and maintaining timely delivery of goods.
The program was presided over by Mr. Harish Kedia President, Chhattisgarh Laghu and Sahayak Udyog Sangh. It was followed by a Q&A session where the MSME owners put forth their queries in front of the delegates which were addressed by the experts. Post that, the industry owners were felicitated with Lean pledge certificates by the delegates. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Sharad Saxena – General Secretary, DIA.
After the resounding success of the programme, KIIT-TBI has now buckled up to tap more MSME units under LEAN scheme in other states, including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Haryana, Delhi, and Goa
